Primordial Sound Meditation
Primordial Sound Meditation is a silent meditation which uses a manta (sound) designed to take your mind inward, away from activity, towards the silence of spirit. Primordial Sounds are sounds from nature, like the sound of the wind or the ocean. Every person has their own Primordial Sound which is determined by the date, time and place of their birth. It is the sound the earth was vibrating at the time of your birth. This sound becomes your mantra. When we silently repeat Primordial Sounds as part of the mantra, they help to take our awareness away from the frenzy of daily activity of the mind, to the stillness of spirit. The effect soothes our entire physiology – mind, body and soul.
Primordial Sound Meditation is easily learned in 4 short sessions over a period of two days. In this class you will learn the basics principles of Primordial Sound Meditation, the use of mantras, and the purpose of Meditation. Each participant receives their personal mantra and instruction on how to use it. After instruction you will meditate for 30 minutes. There is plenty of time to ask questions and to share experiences. The class also includes a specially prepared video featuring Deepak Chopra discussing the higher states of consciousness.
